Neurofeedback and Brain Training
Neurofeedback is an alternative treatment for individuals seeking to alleviate symptoms without having to say a single word. Through the use of a 19 lead QEEG (quantitative electroencephalography), a Brain Map is completed. The Brain Map provides detailed information about your specific brain waves to determine whether these waves are working together. The Brain Map looks for the cause of symptoms, such as what specific pathways are dysregulated or over/under activated. The assessment also includes a series of computerized tests that assess the functioning of the brain in different categories as well as a self-assessment about symptoms you are experiencing. Through these tests and the Brain Map, a thorough assessment report is generated for you that explains why you may be feeling a particular way and any nutritional deficiencies. Once the Brain Map determines how your brain is functioning (in a visual assessment report provided to you), training sessions target specific areas to treat the cause of the dysregulation and alleviate symptoms. Neurofeedback has been successful in reducing anxiety and depression, improving mood, as well as treating trauma, addiction, and other neurological disorders. During training sessions, you do not have to speak, rather, watch a monitor and let your brain do the rest!
Fall 2018 pricing (extended to 3/31/19) $300 for initial assessment (includes QEEG, complete report, and question/answer session about your report), $60 for brain training sessions.
