Candace McLuskey, MA, LPCC
I’m a trauma-informed therapist with a master's degree in clinical counseling from Regis University, and I’m passionate about supporting people through life’s challenges with evidence-based, compassionate care. I strive to meet each person where they are, offering empathy, honesty, and practical tools for growth, healing, and greater self-awareness.
My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, and I work to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel truly seen and heard. I consider it an honor to support individuals of all ages who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, life transitions, and more. If clients are open to it, I will integrate mindfulness techniques to help with emotional regulation and deeper connection to self.
My clinical background includes working at Jefferson Center for Mental Health with a diverse range of clients, as well as volunteering as a CASA advocate for children who are allegedly abused or neglected, through no fault of their own. These experiences deepened my commitment to showing up with presence, flexibility, and an open mind. I'm always learning and strive to discover new strategies to help empower each of my clients.
I feel so fortunate to live in this beautiful mountain community with my husband, teenage son, two energetic pups, and a curious cat. I try to take advantage of the outdoors when I can, whether it's hiking, skiing, walking the dogs, or just pulling weeds. Fun fact: I was a journalist before becoming a therapist—counseling felt like a natural next step in my lifelong curiosity about people’s stories and what shapes them.
