Meet Lauren
My relationship with grief began early, and in many ways, it set me on the path to becoming a therapist. Those early experiences with loss gave me perspective on what truly matters and ignited a passion for mental health work that has only grown stronger over time. This isn't just what I do; it's who I am.
The road here wasn't straight. I've worked in different fields, worn different hats, but every role taught me something important: I'm built for work that centers on human connection and healing.
I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University. During graduate school, my internship with Hospice allowed me to specialize in grief, loss, and trauma—areas that remain at the heart of my practice. I've since become a certified Grief Counselor and completed training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
First responders hold a special place in my work. As a culturally competent clinician and the spouse of a retired law enforcement officer, I understand the unique weight this community carries. I've lived alongside the realities of that work—the stress, the sacrifice, the toll it takes. Supporting those who serve others feels like a natural extension of my own values.
My approach? Thoughtful, real, and grounded—or so I'm told.I aim to create a space that feels calm but authentic, where humor has its place, laughter can coexist with hard truths, and you're always encouraged to speak freely (yes, colorful language included).
Colorado's outdoors lured me here years ago. When I'm not in session, I'm likely fishing with family, hiking, hunting, catching live music, or getting lost in a good book.
