Courtney Matney, MA, LPCC

My passion for counseling is rooted in the belief that relationships are the building blocks of life, whether that is relationship with one’s self or others. Relationships have an incredible ability to hurt and heal, and counseling is a great place to achieve long-lasting change through a therapeutic relationship built on empathy, trust, and authenticity. My heart for every client is that they leave my office feeling seen, heard, and valued.

My approach to counseling is person-centered, as I strive to come alongside clients and work with them to gain self-awareness and make choices that align with their values and goals. I also use a combination of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and expressive arts techniques to help clients cope with challenging situations, manage intense emotions, and improve relationships.
