Neurofeedback

Operant conditioning is at the heart of how neurofeedback training works, using audio and visual signals to give your brain subtle feedback it can use in developing new neuronal pathways. When you train your brain with neurofeedback, the brain learns new behavior. With time, the new behavior becomes permanent. The instructions become stored in your brain and can be called up anytime they’re needed. Operant conditioning develops new neuronal pathways that tap into your brain’s natural ability to learn new things, to organize information, and to operate better and more efficiently. Neurofeedback can teach your brain new ways of operating and communicating to help eliminate insomnia, attention deficit disorder, depression, and the symptoms of many other brain-based disorders.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting (BSP) was discovered in 2003 by David Grand, Ph.D. who found that "Where you look affects how you feel." BSP locates points in the client’s visual field, utilizing bilateral music, to help access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain. It is effective for a wide variety of emotional and somatic conditions, particularly effective with trauma-based situations, helping to identify and heal underlying trauma that contributes to anxiety, depression, and other behavioral conditions. BSP can also be used with performance and creativity enhancement and can be integrated into many of the healing modalities. The goal of BSP is to bypass the conscious, neocortical thinking to access the deeper, subcortical emotional and body-based parts of the brain.
